A financial company based in Manchester city centre are on the lookout for a technical lead to join their team.
In terms of the role itself, you will be expect to ensure the quality of the delivery of software is of the highest standards that the business expects.
This role isn't 100% hands on, although not every role at this level would be. With regards to the technical side, you will be solving technical uncertainty with advancement of software solutions. On the non-technical side, you will be offering support and guidance to others and organising training where required.
Finally you will liaise with all sections of the business and technology teams through participation in daily scrums, progress and technical meetings.

You will be working in a collaborative, informal and relaxed work environment with agile teams. You will also be working on a new platform built from scratch using the latest technologies such as AWS, VueJS, Java and Springboot.

- Object Oriented (OO) principles and advanced experience in Java and the JVM
- Understanding of the iterative software development lifecycle: Lean, Agile, Kanban
- Experience in Agile Practices: XP & Scrum; Pair Programming
- Experience in Test Driven Development using JUnit, Mockito or other unit test tools
- Experience of using Build Tools (e.g. Ant, Maven, Gradle) for automated build and deployment and continuous integration
- Experience of working with Source Control/Configuration Management tools e.g. Git
- Experience of building RESTful services/systems (JSON, XML)
- Experience of Integration with services/systems (JSON, RESTful)
In return for all of this you will be paid a salary between £65,000 - £75,000.
