Infrastructure Engineer | London | 6 weeks rolling | Windows Server, MS Office, VMware, Networking, Citrix
To provide primarily third level support to high level for a varied calibre of customers and personnel.
You will also support the first/second line team to resolve issues that come into the service desk acting as a primary point of escalation for more challenging issues
Ensuring that incidents are resolved in a timely manner to meet defined service level targets
Proactively help resolve tickets where required
To participate as a project resource as and when required
Participate in on call rota as required
The candidate ideally should have experience of the majority of the following:
Windows Server 2008 R2 / 2012 R2, Windows 7 / 8 · Microsoft Office suite · Active Directory / MS Exchange 2010+ DAG
Email security products, e.g. Mimecast / Mcafee
VMware ESX 5.*6.*
Networking knowledge covering LAN/vLAN/WAN/WLAN technologies including routing and fault finding.
HP Server, SAN Hardware NetApp experience would be a bonus. Wintel Environment, to build manage and maintain various servers and resources. Configure, Manage and administrate mainly iscsi type storage devices.
HP Desktops and Notebooks
Cisco / HP Switch technology including management of integrated Wi-Fi
Meraki / Watchguard Firewall and Secure Remote Access appliances
Citrix & Netscaler management and administration
O365 and Azure
Strong Scripting ideally with PowerShell and Kix
Strong Symantec Backup Exec skills and backup management and enterprise vault would be beneficial.
Veeam Replication and management
Strong Imaging WDS
Strong server Monitoring Skills.
OS Ticketing system
Be passionate about customers and service, with a strong will to make a difference
The ability to work in a dynamic environment, prioritising and multi-tasking effectively
Good knowledge of GPO deployment and configuration
Demonstrate expertise in all activities associated with providing end user PC support and problem resolution on complex and difficult PC hardware and software issues
Strong problem solving abilities and excellent communication, customer handling and inter-personal skills
Strong planning, organising and prioritising abilities
Target focused, proactive and keen to spot opportunities to refine and improve processes and service
Must be able to deal direct with clients in a friendly and highly confident manner demonstrating excellent internal and external customer communication skills
