Head of Development - London Market Insurance
A well renowned London Market Insurance business in the City of London is looking for a Head of Development to join their team on a permanent basis.
Leading a team of development managers focused on developing and maintaining strategic and intelligent business relationship with key stakeholders to optimise business development. You will provide a clearly defined strategy informing the creation of mutually agreed development plan, and identify opportunities to achieve strategic objectives.
The Head of Development will also lead the implementation and execution of a structured programme of engagement between different units of the business and provide insight to the understanding of and response to strategic issues. You will also contribute to an open and transparent culture of risk management and demonstrate a strong awareness of the risks that should be managed with the responsibilities of the role.
This role with be directly responsible for leading a team of up to 4 individuals, each of whom will themselves lead a team of up to 10.
The Head of Development will need to be able to lead and motivate teams, and contribute constructively as a senior member of the department team. You will make strategic commercial and customer focused decisions.
The successful Head of Development will need to be able to demonstrate experience of managing teams in a matrix organisation structure, and have significant experience within London Market Insurance and/or Reinsurance. You will have a working knowledge of how to create an international development strategy, and have regular exposure to presenting at board level.
