UI Developer - Leeds - £45,000 + Pension + Flexible Working

onezeero. are seeking a dynamic, creative and delivery-focused frontend developer who can help by combining expert design and development skills to craft engaging user experiences.

Based in modern offices in the centre of Leeds a short walk from Leeds train station, you'll be working on a variety of small and large scale enhancements to a brand new customer facing website, within a mixed team of developers, testers and product owners.

As a large part of a small development team, you will be given the authority to make strategic technical decisions, and your work will have a direct impact upon the company's success.

Core competencies and experience

  • Knowledge of pure JavaScript (ES6) and of using progressive enhancement to create a user experience that is enhanced by JavaScript, but not reliant on it.
  • Fully conversant in JavaScript best practises.
  • Knowledge of React
  • Expert knowledge of SASS, CSS3, HTML5 and responsive UIs.
  • Expert understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and AJAX
  • Experience of using Git in a collaborative environment.
