Java Developer

A requirement has arisen for an experienced Java Developer to join a market-leading and expanding global organisation in their Manchester offices - with excellent opportunities for skills and career development!

Coming from a strong Java Development background - with a minimum of a HND or Degree in computing/software engineering or similar - you will possess strong core Java skills with strong experience in the design and development of web applications in JEE environments. You will ideally have experience working with HTML, Spring and Hibernate, with exposure to database technologies and will be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.

In this exciting Java Developer role, you will be working on a large web application which supports a number of key functions within the business - with expansion ongoing to automate and streamline various other departments. You will assist in the designing and development of web services in addition to being responsible for:

  • Working across the full development lifecycle - covering system, improvements and application support
  • Thinking creatively to bring new ideas and concepts to the application
  • Interpreting software needs and developing new concepts and solutions to meet objectives
  • Presenting ideas and concepts to the Software Team
