PMO Planning Analyst

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced PMO Planning Analyst/Project Planner to join the expanding IT and Business Change Project Management team of my highly reputable client; with excellent opportunities to really develop your skills further!

Coming from a strong PMO or Project Planning background, you will have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel as well as other MS packages. You will have a good understanding of project management and will be able to liaise with and influence stakeholders of all seniorities.

In this exciting and challenging PMO Planning Analyst role, you will be aligned to the IT and Business Change Project Management team to help to plan, review and update on project processes across a wide-range of projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that the plans satisfy the scope and timescales authorised for each project and will also be accountable for:

  • Performing detailed resource planning activity that informs the overarching portfolio resource pland and related programme plans
  • Maintaining, tracking, understanding and communicating the impact on the programmes from variances, issues and risks related to the schedule and plan
  • Challenging project timescales and assumptions to ensure that deliverables and achievable and align with business outcomes.
  • Defining the Change Function's approach to the use of Microsoft Project, providing a standardised approach which enables collaborative working.

This PMO Planning Analyst position will be based in the organisation's Greater Manchester office and comes with a competitive day rate.
